A central element of the Woco Group corporate strategy is research and development (R&D). This follows directly from our persistent orientation to the market and from our devotion to the growing needs of our customers. In 2009, we had approximately 210 employees worldwide involved in researching and developing innovative solutions in methods, materials and processes.
A significant part of our R&D efforts are concentrated on the fields of Acoustics, Actuators and Polymer systems (sealing technology). Our comprehensive understanding of requirements as related to complete systems has earned us a unique reputation of system expertise market-wide. Together with our partners and the R&D departments of our customers, we devise solutions to technical challenges involving acoustics and mechatronics.
Our main emphasis lies in the automotive industry - considering the general technology - and the development trends for the automobile of the future. Reducing noise and minimizing consumption and CO2 emissions are the key challenges facing the cars of tomorrow. Here, carmakers are reacting to the growing expectations of their own customers. But other industries also need improved materials and system solutions.
Our worldwide development centers have extensive test ranges at their disposal, covering our entire range of products.
