Rubber industry
The Polymer-Technik Elbe Group (PTE Group), with its parent company based in Lutherstadt Wittenberg, is an internationally renowned company for the production of rubber compounds from a wide variety of elastomer bases. In addition to natural rubber, ethylene/propylene rubber (EPDM) and styrene/butadiene rubber (SBR) are primarily used. However, specialty rubbers such as fluororubber and silicone rubber (produced by Silcomp Silikoncompounding GmbH and Silcomp France S.A.S. respectively) are also produced for product-specific applications.
The PTE Group has all common mixing systems at its disposal:
- interlocking systems for the most intensive dispersion
- tangential systems for economical mixing, especially of ready-mixes
- a system with rotor gap adjustment for the production of mixtures in a single-stage process
- special kneaders for the production of silicone mixtures.
The mixing capacity of the PTE Group (calculated in the 1-stage process) is ~150,000 tons p.a.
PTE produces in Germany, Mexico and China.
